Japan's Settlement
Japan Early Settlement on Dipity.
The earliest settlement in Japan dated back to 30000BC when Japan was still part of the Asia mainland. By 10000BC, Japan become more stable and the Jomon people are able inhabit Japan. By 300 BC the Yayoi people have settled down in Japan in southern Kyushu and northern Honshu. In 57 AD, a tribal community from China migrated to Japan and were called Wa. In 300 AD, early kingdoms emerged and this was called the Tomb period. During this period there are no longer migration as the people of Japan have permanently settled.
On February 1904, Japan and Russia had started a war for dominance in Korea and Manchuria. The war ended with Japan victorious and was the first Asian nation to defeat a European nation. This is significant as it first shows Japan as a strong, well developed nation to be able to defeat Russia. In 1914, Japan joins World War I but has limited participation. Although Japan did not play a big part in World War I it is still significant to mention since it shows Japan cooperating with other nations. It wasn't until World War II that Japan plays a bigger role. Japan enters World War II in 1937 when Japan invaded China. Japan becomes a dominant country in the Pacific and starts World War II in the Pacific. Japan then surrenders in 1945 when US bombed Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki had a huge toll on Japan's economy as it has to rebuild the destroyed cities. On August 28, 1945, the US led the allies to occupy and rehabilitate Japan after World War II. After the occupation and rehabilitation Japan's economy has recovered slightly from the war and is able to continue successfully as a country.
